About Wendy

A passion for environmentally-sustainable planning and building led Wendy to her positions as broker at Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty and as a partner in Winsome Construction, a local builder specializing in high-quality custom green homes and commercial properties. Her extensive experience in building, planning and design gives Wendy a unique perspective as a Realtor®.

Wendy is a native of Acton, Massachusetts. After earning a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and Spanish from the University of Virginia, she worked for world-renowned green architect Will McDonough, Dean of Architecture at the University of Virginia, who first introduced her to the ideas of sustainable design in communities and buildings. Wendy taught Environmental Engineering at a university in Mexico, worked as a coordinator with The Natural Step of Oregon and was the Sustainability Coordinator at Ashforth Pacific, a corporate real estate and construction company in Portland, OR.

When she is not working or spending time with her husband, Shan, and their two children, Wendy enjoys running, yoga, buying and eating locally and canning Yamhill County’s local abundance.
