Beaverton Doctor Celebrates Grand Opening of Unity Chiropractic & Wellness Center

Having personally experienced the great value of holistic medicine since age seven,  Kathy Cantwell knew she wanted to invest her life helping others achieve optimal health.  She received her Doctorate in Chiropractic at Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon and went on to operate a multi-disciplinary clinic in the Chicago suburbs.  For over 2 decades the clinic successfully operated on a referral only system, effectively growing with one main focus — providing personalized, high quality, holistic care, one patient at a time.  A family job change led Kathy back to Oregon and provided the opportunity to establish Unity Chiropractic & Wellness Center.  Located in Beaverton, the Center derives its name from Dr. Kathy’s philosophy to treat the body as a whole, rather than individual parts.  “Unity: Parts Coming Together as a Whole” defines the Center’s approach for comprehensive care.

When it was time to select the right contractor for Unity’s construction needs, Kathy said she didn’t have any desire to shop around.  She knew of several other Winsome projects and admired Winsome’s attention to detail and the extra steps taken for high quality craftsmanship.  Kathy wanted that same level of expertise for the Center.

When asked about the best part of her experience with Winsome, Kathy shared, “The whole team was amazing!  Every person I worked with went the extra mile.  Some people never want to see their contractor again at the end of a project….I’d like to stay friends!  It was a nice relationship from start to finish with no unexpected costs or project delays.”

Unity Chiropractic & Wellness Center celebrated their Grand Opening on September 6th and is currently providing a wide variety of services through Dr. Kathy and four other practitioners.  Services include Chiropractic Care, Functional Medicine, Nutritional Counseling, Acupuncture, Myofascial Therapies including Massage, and Behavioral Counseling.  The Unity team is committed to providing healing solutions for any need, whether that includes an injury, chronic condition or fine tuning present health.  New patients are always welcome and can often be seen within 24 hours.  Dr. Kathy mentioned that patients often see changes within the first few visits and are equipped with tools to maintain health and feel well in between appointments.

In addition to cranial adjusting and diversified full-spine adjusting, Dr. Kathy’s expertise extends to treating concussions and sports related injuries as well as working with pregnant mothers and their newborn babies.  Dr. Kathy was among some of the early practitioners in the field of Chiropractic Pediatrics; she graduated from the first Pediatric Diplomate class in 1996.  A classic baby lover, her face lit up as she recalled adjusting her grandson on his first day of life.
