Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Interior Designer and Client Experience Specialist to join our team and lead and manage the interior design and selections for the Central Oregon area, based in our Bend office. As an Interior Designer, you will collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and the Winsome Team to create safe, functional, innovative, and aesthetically pleasing interior designs that meet the clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. You will play a key role in all stages of the design process and adhere to relevant blueprints, building codes, and inspection requirements, from concept development to project completion. As a Client Experience Specialist, you will also plan and implement personalized client experiences that delight. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a Project Administrator
  • Custom Luxury Farmhouse KitchenConcept Development and Design:
    • Create interior design concepts based on an understanding of client goals, requirements, and budgets.
    • Analyze blueprints to understand movement and use patterns of the space.
    • Maintain current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other developments in interior design.
  • Create and Manage Interior Design Budgets 
    • Determine and drive timelines and manage project costs to present accurate estimates to clients.
  • Selection Specification of Materials and Furnishings
    • Research, select, and source appropriate products and materials that meet the design requirements, schedule, client preferences, and project budget.
    • Populate and verify that all selection specifications are accurately entered into Buildertrend, and track documentation of selection approvals and changes by clients on an ongoing basis.
    • Oversee the installation of materials, fixtures, furniture, and other design elements.
  • Authentically Collaborate with Architects, PM’s SS’s, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Clients
    • Attend monthly meetings and site visits.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by visiting the project on completion with the client; resolve any complaints or concerns.
  • Create and maintain standard operating processes and procedures
  • Plan and implement personalized client experiences that delight
  • Provide support for office events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong visual design skills, superior artistic and creative ability, and strong knowledge of design principles, materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive-related software, able to work in other computer applications, including Buildertrend.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Highly motivated self-starter, able to operate independently and in a team environment, and proactive in following up with vendors, clients, and team members, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Interior Design, architecture, or a related field is required; coursework in computer-aided design (CAD) is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools preferred
  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Custom design work experience preferredModern Farmhouse
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Drive
  • Must be able to pass a drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or maneuvering at active construction sites
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to distinguish between colors.
