McMinnville Couple Build Green for Energy Efficiency
One of our homes was just featured in the News Register’s July 22, 2014 summer edition of Green Living. You can read about how Barbara and Neal Wyse first got acquainted with Winsome Construction decided to hire us to be the builder of their new home. It was a pleasure to work with them and we are so happy that they are enjoying their beautiful, comfortable, and healthy home! Here is a portion:
Neal and Barbara Wyse hadn’t necessarily planned to build a green home when they purchased their McMinnville property in September 2009.
However, they attended an open house Shan Stassens of Winsome Construction was having in one of the completed homes in West Wind Country Estates, located off of Hill Road. “A lot of the way he built and the green aspects struck a note with us,” Neal said.
The more they learned, the more it made sense, especially with the energy efficiency and cost savings it would offer. They ended up hiring Winsome to construct their home.
Barbara said the builder spent a great deal of time making the drawings fit just what the couple wanted.
